Caring for your garage doors

However good a product may be, all exposed surfaces require some attention to guard against corrosion and any other harmful atmospheric effects. Your garage door needs to be looked after the same way that you care for your car.

Coloured finishes and timber doors

Garage doors with Coloured finishes need to be washed with clean water and a cloth every four weeks or so; more frequently in salty or industrial areas. Timber doors need periodic re-treatment. If the door is left untreated, the timbers will weather and gradually deteriorate. Dark coating can have the effect of attracting excessive heat and may result in premature deterioration of the timber. Washing the door occasionally with clean water is recommended.

Regular service is recommended

Service includes:
Full inspection; Spring tension adjustment. Motor drive chain adjustment where applicable; Lubrication to all moving parts.
Standard service is limited to the above and does not include accidental damage repairs or replacement parts. Temporary repairs may be done to maintain operation. A Quotation will be submitted for subsequent necessary repairs where required.
